What does this cost the school?

Nothing. There is no fee, no minimum booking and no invoice to the institution at any stage. The paid part of the workshop is arranged directly with the parents of students who choose to continue.

So how does 2nd Guardian make money from this?

From the parents of students who continue into days two to seven. We would rather say that plainly than pretend the free session has no commercial logic behind it. What we commit to is that no part of that commercial process happens in your building or involves your staff.

Will you sell to our students during the session?

Accepted Answer

No. No pitch, no forms, no QR codes, no collection of student contact details. If a student wants to know more, that goes through their parent afterwards.

How much preparation do our teachers need to do?

None. No pre-reading, no briefing, no follow-up. We ask for a room, a time slot and one point of contact.

Question 5

Which subjects can you cover?

Currently geology, led by a retired geologist. We are building the format out subject by subject as we find practitioners of the right standard to lead each one. If there is a specific field your students are asking about, tell us — it helps us prioritise.

Can you run a session for a mixed group of year levels?

Accepted Answer

We would rather not. The framing for Grade 7 is genuinely different from Grade 11, and a session pitched at both tends to land with neither. One year group at a time works considerably better.

Do you have references from other schools?

Accepted Answer

Not yet, honestly. Our first workshop cohort has not completed, so there are no school references or alumni outcomes to point you to. We are early, and we would rather you knew that before booking than after.

Is the field visit part of what happens at school?

Accepted Answer

No. Days four and five are a field visit arranged with the families who have opted into the paid portion. It sits outside your timetable entirely.

Question 9

How is student data handled?

Accepted Answer

We collect nothing from students during a school session. Anything beyond that involves a parent giving consent directly to us, under DPDP Act 2023 requirements which are built into how the platform was designed.

We are outside Bengaluru. Can you come?

Ask. We are Bengaluru-based and everything except the field visit runs online, so it depends on the location and the timing. We will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe.
