Most career guidance hands you a report and a ranked list. We do something slower and more useful: we help your child explore real careers at their own pace, and we help you two understand where you see them differently.
Free to start
Career Discovery costs nothing in V1.
No psychometric test
We do not score your child or label them.
You stay in control
Your child can never book or pay for anything.
Built for minors' data
DPDP Act 2023 requirements designed in from the start.
Why this is built
The decision arrives faster than the information does.
It rarely looks like a crisis. It looks like an ordinary week, until a form is due Friday, and three things turn out to be true at once: no spare attention, thin information, and a parent whose own experience may be twenty years out of date.
So we moved the exploration earlier: to Grade 6, where it costs nothing.
Three moments this shows up in
“It's a Tuesday evening. The subject-selection form is due Friday. Your child has twenty minutes between two tuition classes to decide between Science and Commerce, a choice that shapes the next six years.”
What usually happens
The decision gets made in exam week, under pressure, with whatever information already happens to be in the house.
What would actually help
Exploration that happened years earlier, back when there was no deadline attached to it at all.

What we work with
You and your child may be describing two different people.
Ask a parent what their child is good at. Then ask the child. The answers overlap less often than either expects, and neither of them is wrong. You have fourteen years of observation. They have the inside view. Both are partial.
Most of the time this difference stays unspoken until a decision forces it out, usually in an argument about a form that has to be submitted on Monday.
We surface it on purpose, early, before it has to be a fight.
Parent and child each answer a short set of questions separately. Wherever the answers diverge (on interests, on strengths, on what they want, on what worries them), that becomes the first thing a mentor works with. Not to decide who is right. To turn the difference into something you can both actually use.
What most services do
Test the child. Produce a report. Hand it to the parent.
What we do
Ask you both. Find the gap. Sit down with it together.
The free starting point
Career Discovery, in plain terms.
A place where your child meets careers in small pieces: a short story, a card, a “what would you do” scenario, a quick challenge. Slowly, they notice what keeps pulling at them.
There is a short, light onboarding at the start. It asks what they are curious about, what they enjoy, which subjects they like and dislike, and what they think they are good at. That is all it is: a starting picture. What they read, save, finish or skip after that quietly makes the picture better.
What it is not
Not a psychometric test. There is no scoring, no personality type, no label attached to your child.
Not a verdict. It will never tell your child what career to choose. That conclusion stays with your family.
Not an encyclopaedia. Careers are not explained in one long page. Your child can meet the same career several times, in different ways, and build up understanding gradually.
In practice
What Career Discovery actually gives you.
Explore at your own pace
No sessions to book, nothing scheduled. Short pieces of content your child opens, saves, or skips, on their own time.
The perception-gap diagnostic
You and your child each answer separately. Wherever your answers diverge is what a mentor works with first.
Grade-banded content
Four bands (Discover, Explore, Decide, Launch), so a Grade 7 and a Grade 12 student never get the same questions.
Mentor-led when it matters
A real question gets sent to you. You decide whether it's worth an hour with a mentor.
Privacy by design
DPDP Act 2023 requirements were built into the platform from the outset, not added later.

Career Discovery costs nothing in V1.
Grade by grade
A Grade 7 student and a Grade 12 student need opposite things.
One needs permission to be curious with no pressure to commit. The other needs to validate a decision already half-made and turn it into a plan. Handing both the same questionnaire is where most guidance quietly fails. Our four bands exist so that does not happen.
| Band | Grades | What it is for | Pressure | The student's question |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Discover | 6–8 | Broad awareness and curiosity. No pressure to choose. | None | “What possibilities exist, and what interests me?” |
| Explore | 9 | Notice patterns in interests and strengths ahead of Grade 10. | Light / preparatory | “What deserves a closer look?” |
| Decide | 10 | Support the subject and stream decision with real visibility into consequences. | High / decision point | “Which subjects or stream keep the right doors open?” |
| Launch | 11–12 | Validate the chosen path and turn it into an action plan. | High / execution | “Is this still right, and what do I do next?” |
Discover
Grades 6–8Broad awareness and curiosity. No pressure to choose.
“What possibilities exist, and what interests me?”
Pressure: None
Explore
Grades 9Notice patterns in interests and strengths ahead of Grade 10.
“What deserves a closer look?”
Pressure: Light / preparatory
Decide
Grades 10Support the subject and stream decision with real visibility into consequences.
“Which subjects or stream keep the right doors open?”
Pressure: High / decision point
Launch
Grades 11–12Validate the chosen path and turn it into an action plan.
“Is this still right, and what do I do next?”
Pressure: High / execution
If your child is in Grade 6, 7 or 8, you are early, and that is the point. Almost everything in this market is built for the Grade 10 panic. The years before it are where exploration is free.
What you actually do
Four steps, and only one of them is yours.
- 01
You set it up
You create the account and give consent. Takes a few minutes.
- 02
Your child explores
At their pace, on their own. Nothing is scheduled and nothing is graded.
- 03
A real question shows up
At some point they want to know something specific: whether a particular path is possible, what a job is actually like day to day. That question is captured and sent to you.
- 04
You decide what happens next
Maybe nothing, and that is fine. Maybe it is worth an hour with a mentor. Either way, the choice is yours, not a pop-up's.
Our commitments
Four things we have decided not to do.
We will not sell to your child.
In Grades 6 to 8 there is no upsell anywhere in the product: not a button, not a banner. From Grade 9 upward, if your child has a genuine follow-up question, it goes to you. They cannot book. They cannot pay. There is no path where a twelve-year-old is nudged toward a purchase.
We will not label your child.
No aptitude score, no personality type, no “your child is a Realistic-Investigative.” We do not think a thirteen-year-old should be handed a category to live up to.
We will not fake certainty.
Where we have not decided something, this site says so. If a service is not built yet, we tell you it is not built yet.
We will not treat your child's data casually.
Everything we run involves information about minors. DPDP Act 2023 requirements (consent, access, safety) were designed in from the beginning rather than added later.
How we teach a career
An afternoon with someone who does the job beats a chapter about it.
Most of what students learn about careers comes from teachers and generic content: people describing work they have not done. We build exposure around practitioners instead. Geology, led by a retired geologist, is the first subject we are running.
- A guest lecture led by a working practitioner
- Online classes that go deep on one career
- A field visit to where the work actually happens
If you want more than exploration
Some questions need a person, not a platform.
Career Discovery is enough for a lot of families, and it is free. But if your child is in Grade 9 or 10 and a real decision is close, or if you and your child are stuck in the same disagreement on repeat, an hour with a mentor does something a product cannot.
Sessions are online, include both you and your child, and start from where your two accounts of your child differ. You can come straight here without going through Career Discovery first. We will not route you through a funnel you did not ask for.
How 1:1 Mentorship works →Who you would be talking to
A small team, named honestly.
Giri
Founder
Around eighteen years in academic leadership and competitive exam preparation for JEE and NEET, including at-scale roles with Unacademy and Aakash. He is currently the only mentor on the platform, and he will be the person you speak to.
Mr. Vidhya Sagar
First practitioner
A retired geologist who leads our first Career Workshop. He is a practitioner partner rather than core team.
We are early. There are no alumni stories on this page yet because no workshop cohort has finished one.

FAQ
Questions parents ask
Start where it costs nothing.
Career Discovery is free, needs about five minutes from you, and asks your child for nothing but curiosity. If something real comes out of it, we will be here. If it does not, you have lost an evening.
